since 2007 i have been collabarating with rosa osborne on a pop art project.she is a fine stencil cutter and her portraits can be seen in the gallery section.her stencil work forms the basis for my improvisations with stencil and spraycan processes.
Bob Osborne.who exhibits in the same Isle of Wight gallery as Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, was commissioned to design a print/poster for this summers festival
Bob Osborne included in exhibition of collages, constructions, reliefs and assemblages at Katharine House Gallery, saturday 7-28 july 2007.Other artists showing are Eduardo Paolozzi,Terry Frost,Sandra Blow,Breon O'Casey and John Piper.
My earliest recollections of Bob Osborne go back to the autumn of 1972 when we were both first years at U.E.A. Norwich. A sandy haired beachboy in a donkey jacket who boasted of exploits in the contrasting arenas of building sites and European travels. Osborne seemed to have a point to prove. From the outset he was always an independent, even rebellious spirit, and his déclassé stance was real for he hailed from gypsy street traders and the rough end of West London Bohemia.
